Baseball Recap: Rock Hill Drops Highest Score of Season Against Heritage

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rock Hill). Everything went their way against the Heritage Coyotes on Saturday as they made off with a 15-4 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Blue Hawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Brayden Kemp and Luke Tanner did most of the damage at the plate: Kemp scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Tanner went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Trevor Kruse was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Rock Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Rock Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Heritage, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18-1.

Rock Hill will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against McKinney at 7:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Heritage, they will venture away from home to challenge Lebanon Trail at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
