Football Recap: Jayda Oler Leads Churubusco's Defense on Wednesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Garrett, Churubusco was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Huntington North Vikings by a score of 14-6.

Churubusco didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jayda Oler, Aleasia Johnson, and Kinley Serres picked up one apiece.

The win got Churubusco back to even at 1-1. As for Huntington North, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Churubusco will take on rival Fort Wayne North Side at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Huntington North is set to face off against their familiar foe New Haven at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
