Basketball Recap: Bedford North Lawrence's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

Bedford North Lawrence entered their game against Jeffersonville on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bedford North Lawrence Stars fell 48-39 to the Jeffersonville Red Devils. The contest marked the Stars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Jeffersonville had a senior duo take command as Tre Singleton almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds and Michael Cooper went 5 for 9 on his way to 12 points. What's more, Singleton also racked up three blocks, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Terrence Nord was another key player, putting up nine points.

Bedford North Lawrence's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-6. As for Jeffersonville, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Bedford North Lawrence will head out to face off against Terre Haute North Vigo at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Terre Haute North Vigo will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Bedford North Lawrence surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jeffersonville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mishawaka Marian at 1:30 p.m. on February 8th.
