Volleyball Game Preview: Community School of Davidson Spartans vs. Lake Norman Charter Knights

The Community School of Davidson Spartans will head out to take on the Lake Norman Charter Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Community School of Davidson comes in on eight and Lake Norman Charter on 19.

Community School of Davidson is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Carolina's top teams: Pine Lake Prep, who was ranked 20th at the time (Community School of Davidson was ranked 15th). The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Pride 3-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted against the Pride since October 13, 2022.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (102-100) Community School of Davidson actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-22, 25-19, 17-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Lake Norman Charter got the win against Christ the King on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Lake Norman Charter walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-20.

Community School of Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Lake Norman Charter, their win bumped their record up to 24-3.

Community School of Davidson came up short against Lake Norman Charter in their previous meeting back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
