Baseball Recap: Nashoba Regional Takes a Loss

Nashoba Regional blew Groton-Dunstable out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Groton-Dunstable got their revenge. The Wolves fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 5-3. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Nashoba Regional saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Martsteiner, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Nashoba Regional dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Groton-Dunstable, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nashoba Regional will venture away from home to square off against Fitchburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Groton-Dunstable, they will challenge Shepherd Hill Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
