Cuba/Spoon River Valley entered their tilt with Bushnell-Prairie City on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Spartans. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cuba/Spoon River Valley was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-6.

Grace Yaste paced Cuba/Spoon River Valley's offense, picking up 11 kills. Yaste got some help from Kacie White and her 13 assists. White also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mollie Cornell, racking up four apiece.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Cuba/Spoon River Valley will welcome West Prairie at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, they will take on Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
