Basketball Game Preview: West Field Longhorns vs. Mountain Crest Mustangs

The West Field Longhorns and the Mountain Crest Mustangs will face off at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.

On Friday, West Field didn't have quite enough to beat Preston and fell 58-56. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 61st in Utah, while the Indians are ranked 12th in Idaho).

Meanwhile, Mountain Crest can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They rang in the new year with a 47-37 win over Star Valley.

This is the second loss in a row for West Field and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Mountain Crest, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
