Baseball Game Preview: Maranatha Christian Eagles vs. Classical Academy Caimans

For the second straight game, Maranatha Christian will face off against Classical Academy. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Caimans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Maranatha Christian has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with 15 straight losses, while Classical Academy will come in with three straight wins.

Last Wednesday, Maranatha Christian came up short against Classical Academy and fell 5-1.

For Classical Academy's part, Chaeton Revilla spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. Revilla has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dylan Perry was incredible, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Travis Perry, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Dylan wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Classical Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. The Caimans are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Maranatha Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
