Basketball Game Preview: Carroll Tigers vs. Alice Coyotes

Carroll is 4-0 against Alice since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Carroll Tigers will welcome the Alice Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. Carroll is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Carroll took on Gregory-Portland on Saturday. Carroll took an 82-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gregory-Portland. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 650th, while the Wildcats are ranked 219th).

Meanwhile, Alice suffered their biggest loss since December 10, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Miller, falling 66-42. The Coyotes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Alice, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-14.

Carroll was able to grind out a solid victory over Alice in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, winning 54-44. Will Carroll repeat their success, or does Alice have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
