Softball Recap: Ridgewood Comes Up Short

Ridgewood might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Newark Catholic who claimed the real prize. The Generals fell just short of the Green Wave by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Generals have lost by just one run.

Ridgewood dropped their record down to 12-9-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Newark Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-13.

Coming up, Ridgewood will take on Shadyside in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Newark Catholic, they will take on Newark at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Green Wave are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
