Edgewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jones Fightin' Tigers. On the bright side, the 28- run performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring contest to date.

Edgewater's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Jones, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Edgewater will host Bishop Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jones will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' matchup: after the Eagles faces off against the Hornets, they'll take on Jones again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
