Baseball Recap: Tustin Comes Up Short

Tustin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 8-1 to the Fullerton Indians.

Tustin got a good showing from Nathan Saltzer, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Saltzer has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Daniel Benally was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Tustin's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Fullerton, they pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Tustin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against University on the 29th. As for Fullerton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-3 win against Calvary Chapel on the 28th.
