Baseball Recap: Schuylkill Valley Takes a Loss

Schuylkill Valley fell victim to Hamburg and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 7-0. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Schuylkill Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Hamburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Schuylkill Valley is taking a road trip to challenge Berks Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Saints will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Hamburg, they will be playing at home against Tulpehocken at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
