Volleyball Recap: Campbell County Takes a Loss

Campbell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds. The Camels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Thoroughbreds from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Campbell County started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-22.

Campbell County's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Newport Central Catholic, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 13-14.

Looking ahead, Campbell County will host Scott at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newport Central Catholic, they will head out to square off against Bishop Brossart at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
