Woodward Academy faced Pace Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The War Eagles walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Knights. Surprisingly, this marked the War Eagles' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

While Woodward Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19.

Sydney Harrison paced Woodward Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Harrison got some help from Marissa Jones and her 19 assists. Jones also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Peyton Moore, racking up two apiece.

Despite the loss, Pace Academy still got an impressive performance from Gabby Emch, who had ten digs and six assists.

Woodward Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Pace Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
