Basketball Recap: South Davidson Takes a Loss

On Friday, the South Davidson Wildcats came up short against the Asheboro Hybrid Academy Warriors and fell 35-28.

Asheboro Hybrid Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emily West, who posted 14 points and six steals. That's the most steals West has posted since back in December of 2023. Jacie Whitt was another key player, putting up two points and four blocks.

South Davidson has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Asheboro Hybrid Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

South Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-30 defeat against East Davidson on the 7th. As for Asheboro Hybrid Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-29 win against Father Capodanno on the 6th.
