Softball Recap: Knappa Loggers vs. Nestucca Bobcats
Knappa lost against Nestucca on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Knappa Loggers fell just short of the Nestucca Bobcats by a score of 13-12. Knappa has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Nestucca's part, they let Rylee Armstrong and Melanie Velasquez loose on the outfield. Armstrong scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Velasquez scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Webber, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Knappa's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Nestucca, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.
As of now, neither Knappa nor Nestucca have any future games scheduled.
