Softball Recap: Spain Park Comes Up Short

Spain Park and Brookwood squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Spain Park had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-1 defeat back in April.

Spain Park dropped their record down to 19-22-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Brookwood, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 36-16.

Spain Park has already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Chilton County on the 7th. As for Brookwood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against McAdory on the 7th.
