Football Recap: Reseda Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Reseda extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-10. They had to suffer through a 65-0 loss at the hands of the Kennedy Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Regents can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 1027th, while the Cougars are ranked 404th).

As for Kennedy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.

Kennedy was led to victory by Chaz Rodriguez and Josue Sandoval. Rodriguez threw for 97 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes, while Sandoval rushed for 69 yards and one score. Those 97 passing yards gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Kennedy also got help from Miguel De La Torre, who showed off his sure hands for 84 receiving yards.

Reseda does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kennedy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Birmingham at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Diego Montes and Kevin Hawkins.
