Softball Preview: Centennial Knights vs. Norcross Blue Devils
The Centennial Knights will welcome the Norcross Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Centennial lost 11-5 to Lakeside on Wednesday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ella Jacobs was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Algier, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs.
Even though they lost, Centennial was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with five doubles. That's the most doubles they've earned since back in August of 2023.
Meanwhile, Norcross had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 8-0 to Forsyth Central. The loss leaves the Blue Devils without a win on the season.
Centennial now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Norcross, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
