Baseball Recap: West Hempstead Falls to Valley Stream Central in First Game of Season

West Hempstead unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 8-1 to the Valley Stream Central Eagles on Wednesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Brendan Felix made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

The win keeps Valley Stream Central at an undefeated 7-0-1.

While West Hempstead had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
