Volleyball Game Preview: Burke Bulldogs vs. Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks + Official Tickets

Burke hasn't had much luck against Lincoln Southwest recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Silver Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Lincoln Southwest took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Burke, who comes in off a win.

Burke will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Bellevue West, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Thunderbirds 2-1 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Southwest faced Lincoln North Star in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Silver Hawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Navigators. The Silver Hawks haven't had much luck with the Navigators recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Burke will have to contain Jadyn Hazzard as she made an impact in Lincoln Southwest's last game. She had 11 digs and one assist. Hazzard is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Lincoln Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Burke, their record now sits at 11-20.

Burke couldn't quite get it done against Lincoln Southwest in their previous matchup back in September of 2022 as they fell 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
