Basketball Game Preview: Cascade Cadets vs. Edgewood Mustangs

The Cascade Cadets will take on the Edgewood Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cascade is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over Speedway. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Sparkplugs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Edgewood earned a 48-39 win over Paoli on Saturday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Rams are ranked 277th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Cascade, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Cascade didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Edgewood in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 39-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
