Saratoga came tearing into Friday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Santa Clara Bruins. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in April.

Saira Ramakrishnan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Tham, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Avi Chauhan, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Saratoga hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.

Saratoga's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Santa Clara, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Saratoga has already played their next contest, a 13-0 victory against Monta Vista on the 14th. As for Santa Clara, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-9 win against Fremont on the 14th.
