Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heston Academy). They were the clear victors by a 47-26 margin over the Hillman Tigers on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Despite the loss, Hillman still got an impressive performance from Evan Crane, who rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 117 receiving yards and one TD. Crane really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run. Xavier Nichols was another key player, rushing for 35 yards and one score.

Heston Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hillman, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Heston Academy will square off against Whittemore-Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Hillman, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rogers City at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
