Football Recap: Austin Royals Homeschool Piles Up the Points Against Concordia

While Austin Royals HomeSchool put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Concordia. The Royals blew past the Cardinals, posting a 76-0 victory. Fans of the Royals have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Dane Kerr had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 89 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Austin Royals HomeSchool, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Lathon Day, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Austin Royals HomeSchool didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jet Kenoyer and Tanner Brown. Kenoyer got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win (which was Austin Royals HomeSchool's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 72.7 points this season. As for Concordia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Austin Royals HomeSchool will face off against San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Concordia, they will square off against Valor South Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
