Lancaster has gone a perfect 10-0 against Newark recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Golden Gales will host the Wildcats at 5:15 p.m. Lancaster will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Lancaster got the win against Canal Winchester by a conclusive 23-4. The Golden Gales might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, while Newark put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Reynoldsburg. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Raiders. That looming 16-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.

Lauren Queen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Shanaberg, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Newark was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Lancaster's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Newark, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11-1.

Everything went Lancaster's way against Newark when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Lancaster made off with a 25-3 win. Will the Golden Gales repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
