Volleyball Recap: Goodman-Pembine Comes Up Short

Goodman-Pembine lost against Phelps back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Knights.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18, 25-16.

Goodman-Pembine's offense was headlined by Jolie Seidel and Chloie Gentz, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Lauryn Dwight and her four assists. Autumn Gentz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Phelps was led to victory by Haylee Barnekow and Addison Szuta. Barnekow had eight kills, seven digs, and seven aces, while Szuta had six aces and one assist. Those seven aces gave Barnekow a new career-high.

Goodman-Pembine's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Phelps, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-18.

Goodman-Pembine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Elcho on the 3rd. As for Phelps, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Florence on the 7th.
