Volleyball Recap: Wando Beats Berkeley for Their Third Straight Victory

Wando waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Berkeley Stags. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Wando walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-21, 25-18.

Lily Mahoney paced Wando's offense, picking up 13 kills. Mahoney got some help from McKenna St. Clair and her 31 assists. St. Clair was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Wando's win bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Berkeley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's still a better percentage than their 4-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wando will face off against rival Goose Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Berkeley is set to take on their familiar foe Stratford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
