Volleyball Recap: Monterey Trail Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Monterey Trail lost against West Campus back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 25-21.

Callie Neufeld paced Monterey Trail's offense, picking up 12 kills. Neufeld were helped by Xumai Nguyen and Lily Her, who contributed ten assists each. Neufeld also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Cadence Neufeld, each putting up three.

Monterey Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for West Campus, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-4.

Monterey Trail has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Laguna Creek on the 14th. As for West Campus, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Grace Davis on the 11th.
