Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Elizabeth Duncan and Brooke Dalton Lead May River to Victory

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for May River on Thursday. They walked away with a 52-40 victory over the Bluffton Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-34 last Tuesday.

May River was led to victory by Brooke Dalton and Elizabeth Duncan. Dalton went 8-for-11 to rack up 25 points, while Duncan went 5-for-9 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Dalton a new career-high in points.

Despite the loss, Bluffton still got an impressive performance from Amirah Brown, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards. That was a full 52.5% of Bluffton's points, marking the sixth time in a row Brown has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tamyra Bolden, who earned seven points.

May River now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Bluffton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.
