Baseball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar lost to Dardanelle back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell just short of the Sand Lizards by a score of 2-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lamar got a good showing from Mason Sharp, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Sharp has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lamar saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JJ Humphrey, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Lamar's record is now 6-13-1. As for Dardanelle, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will face off against Cossatot River at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dardanelle, they will challenge Ozark at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
