Softball Game Preview: Lincoln Abes vs. North Thurston Rams

Lincoln is 0-5 against North Thurston since April of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Abes will face off against the Rams at 3:30 p.m. Lincoln has given up an average of 15.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lincoln is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 20 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Central Kitsap on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Thurston, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with an 11-8 win over Capital on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

North Thurston's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Lincoln suffered a grim 19-2 defeat to North Thurston in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Abes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
