The Gambell King Polar Bear won the last time they faced the Koyuk Malimiut Malemutes, and things went their way on Friday too. Gambell blew past Koyuk Malimiut 72-27 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Gambell.
Gambell found their leader in underclassman Damian Campbell-Newhall, who scored 27 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Koozaata, who scored 11 points.
Gambell's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Koyuk Malimiut, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1.
