Westfield faced Wayland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bombers fell 3-1 to the Warriors. The Bombers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Westfield still got an impressive performance from Nolan Rodgers, who had 23 digs. Rodgers has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times he's played.

Westfield's loss dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Wayland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Westfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wayland, they will take on Agawam at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Brownies will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
