Recap: Basehor-Linwood vs. Turner

Basehor-Linwood won the last time they faced Turner, and things went their way on Friday, too. Basehor-Linwood steamrollered Turner 53-6. Followers of Basehor-Linwood probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

The contest started off well for Basehor-Linwood, whose offense put up 45 first-half points. Meanwhile, Turner couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 45-0 heading into the break. The Basehor-Linwood defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup.

No one put up better numbers for Basehor-Linwood than senior Dylan Mussett, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns. Senior Dylan Donnelly was in the mix, too, providing Basehor-Linwood with 2 touchdowns. The match pushed Turner down to 1-4 and pulled Basehor-Linwood up to the reverse at 4-1.

Next week Basehor-Linwood take on De Soto at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. Turner will be staying on the road, facing off against Olathe West.
