Clarksville Academy won the last time they faced Montgomery Central and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Indians. Considering the Cougars have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Colton Wallace made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Brennen Gibson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Floyd Dodwell, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Clarksville Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montgomery Central only posted a batting average of .259.

Clarksville Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Montgomery Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
