Soccer Recap: Denver East Starts Season with Win Against Air Academy

Denver East gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Air Academy Kadets a 3-0 shutout. Harrison Augur had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Denver East got from the refs.

Denver East hit Air Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Enrique Guerrero, Gavin Spellman, and Gavin Barringer.

Air Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Denver East will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Rock Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Air Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against The Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 4.
