Elkin proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Starmount Rams 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Buckin' Elks have posted since September 9th.

Elkin took Starmount into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-12, 25-22, 23-25, 15-13.

Elkin's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Starmount, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Elkin will challenge Ashe County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Buckin' Elks surely won't give up without a fight. Starmount does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
