Volleyball Recap: Nixon Takes a Loss

Nixon's tournament run continued when they took on McAllen on Friday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Leading McAllen to victory were Ecklyn Vaden and Gabriella Saenz. Vaden had 13 digs and one assist, while Saenz had six digs. Those 13 digs gave Vaden a new career-high.

Nixon's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for McAllen, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Nixon by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.
