Baseball Game Preview: Littleton Lions vs. Wheat Ridge Farmers

The Littleton Lions will face off against the Wheat Ridge Farmers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Littleton and four for Wheat Ridge.

Littleton came into this matchup off a tough 15-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Evergreen by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lions have suffered since March 6th.

Grayden Campbell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Steve Dominguez IV, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Wheat Ridge lost 22-1 to Standley Lake on Saturday.

Littleton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Wheat Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything went Littleton's way against Wheat Ridge in their previous matchup on April 11th, as Littleton made off with a 16-3 victory. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Farmers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
