Fairfield had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Norwich Eagles on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Fairfield might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Norwich scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18.

Fairfield's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-10. As for Norwich, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Fairfield and Pretty Prairie will shake off the rust and duke it out on Tuesday. As for Norwich, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Stafford on the 23rd.
