Basketball Recap: Hamilton Heights Takes a Loss

If Hamilton Heights was feeling good fresh off their 57-24 takedown of Tipton last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hamilton Heights Huskies took a blow against the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights on Friday, falling 60-14. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Knights are ranked 54th).

When it comes to explaining why Hamilton Heights lost, don't look at Katie Brown. Despite the final result, she posted six points. What's more, Brown also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2024.

Hamilton Heights has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-4.

Hamilton Heights will square off against Heritage Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Heritage Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
