Football Preview: Davidson Warriors vs. Daphne Trojans        
        
		
             The Davidson Warriors will venture away from home to  take on the Daphne Trojans  at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday. Davidson is coming into the  matchup on  a  four-game losing streak.
 Last Friday, Davidson was beaten by McGill-Toolen 42-13. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings  (they are ranked 155th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 42nd).
 Davidson's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Edward Harrison, who rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and  Terrance Gray, who rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Harrison really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 74-yard run.
 Even though they lost, Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 314  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 169  rushing yards in five consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, Daphne ended up a good deal behind Spanish Fort on Friday and lost  21-7. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Toros recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Daphne, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
 Davidson took a serious blow against Daphne  in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023, falling  56-14. That  game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Davidson was down  35-14.
