Volleyball Game Preview: Wesleyan Wolves vs. Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots

The Wesleyan Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wesleyan is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

On Monday, Wesleyan earned a 2-0 win over The Weber School.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Wesleyan was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-10.

Wesleyan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emily Miller led the charge by getting five aces and one assist. Those five aces gave Miller a new career-high.

Miller wasn't the only good servers: Wesleyan was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Mount Pisgah Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Atlanta Classical Academy on Thursday, taking the game 2-0. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mount Pisgah Christian took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14.

Wesleyan's record now sits at 20-9. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, their record is now 27-13.
