Carrollton has gone 9-0-1 against Richmond recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Carrollton is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Knob Noster just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Richmond lost 3-0 to Lafayette County on Tuesday.

Richmond was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-13.

Carrollton's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Carrollton took their victory against Richmond in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
