Volleyball Game Preview: Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles vs. Northwest Christian Crusaders

Scottsdale Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Northwest Christian recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. Scottsdale Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Scottsdale Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Madison Highland Prep, taking the game 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-8, 23-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Northwest Christian beat Benjamin Franklin 3-1 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Northwest Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-20.

Scottsdale Christian Academy better keep an eye on Brooks Martin. He was instrumental in Northwest Christian's win, getting 19 digs and four assists. Those 19 digs gave Martin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Yee, who had seven digs and two aces.

Scottsdale Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Northwest Christian, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6.
