Football Recap: Towns County Indians vs. Lakeview Academy Lions
Friday just wasn't the day for Towns County's offense. They were beaten by the Lakeview Academy Lions 42-0 on Friday. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.
Kyari Burch was nothing short of spectacular for Lakeview Academy: he threw for 209 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 57 yards. Jace Forrest was in the mix too, providing Lakeview Academy with two touchdowns.
Having lost for the first time this season, Towns County fell to 2-1. As for Lakeview Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Towns County will challenge Greenville H at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakeview Academy, they will take on Piedmont Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
