If Tupelo Christian Prep was feeling good fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Thrasher on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell just short of the Marshall Academy Patriots by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Thomas Goralczyk was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bryce Godown made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Jack Decker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
