Lancaster's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let the Central Crossing Comets get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Considering the Golden Gales have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lancaster's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Central Crossing, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Lancaster will head out to square off against Olentangy Berlin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Crossing, they will face off against Sheridan at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Generals will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight.
